KT-400 is an Ethernet-ready four-door controller that provides 128-bit AES encrypted communication with the EntraPass Security Software and is a highly secure solution for any security-conscious business. KT-400 can easily be integrated into an existing EntraPass system with other Kantech controllers (KT-1 and KT-300), or basic door security without the need to connect to a host system when in Standalone Mode providing the foundation for a brand new security installation.
With an onboard Ethernet port, an external IP device isn't required to connect to the network. The onboard port is dual-sensing, which means the system senses whether the connection is 10Base-T or 100Base-T and adjusts automatically for faster connectivity. KT-400 manages network polling and communicates with the EntraPass Gateway only when an event has occurred. Communication integrity is ensured through a heartbeat signal which is sent at regular intervals to the EntraPass system. This asynchronous communication significantly reduces the amount of bandwidth required to manage the access control system over the network.
Features
KT-1 is an Ethernet-ready single door controller, supporting two readers IN/OUT and configurable in two modes providing advanced access control features when used with EntraPass Security Software (v6.02 and higher) or basic door security without the need to connect to a host system when in Standalone Mode.
With its elegant design and innovative single button enrollment (EntraPass Security Software), KT-1 offers installers the ultimate experience in access control installation. Simply provide an IP connection, push a touch-sensitive button and youre done, the KT-1 controller is up and running in minutes.
KT-1 is also configurable in Standalone Mode through the set-up wizard for basic, cost-effective door security using a simple web browser no EntraPass software required. KT-1 is ideal for small applications, but is equally suited to IP centric buildings and large systems with remote sites

The way that the Qolsys IQ Hardwire 16-F works is very simple. It has 16 on-board zone terminal pairs for connecting hardwired sensors. Each zone features its own LED light to assist with enrollment and troubleshooting. A resistor must be used at each zone. In Legacy Mode, the QS7134-840 can be calibrated to use 1k to 10k resistors that are wired in parallel (NO) or series (NC). This differs from the older-style QS7133-840 that was restricted to only supporting 4.7k resistors (Yellow-Violet-Black-Brown-Brown). However, all versions of the Qolsys IQ Hardwire 16-F come with the same 4.7k resistors that must be used to meet UL Standards for fire protection. These resistors work great, so it is advised that you just use the included ones to avoid any possible confusion.
For primary power, the Qolsys IQ Hardwire 16-F uses its included 16VDC transformer. This transformer features an attached power cable for connecting with the module. On the cable, the wire with the grey dashes is the positive (+) connector. The unmarked wire represents the negative (-) connector. If you damage the transformer or the attached cable, then you will need to get a replacement 16VDC transformer.
