Works with the M1 control along with the ELK-M1XRFTW Two-Way Wireless Transceiver. Intended to be used in residential and light commercial installations, the PIR incorporates advanced features designed to ensure reliability, ease of installation, and provide innovative security enhancements.
To simplify installation, ELK's Wireless PIR Motion Sensor allows the installer to remotely enable/disable Walk Test Mode from a keypad. Until now, the industry has accepted the process of manually tripping a switch on a one-way wireless PIR to enter walk test mode. The bright high-intensity white LED convenience/security light clearly identifies when the sensor is detecting motion.
Includes:
- Wireless PIR Sensor
- 2 Replaceable 3V Lithium battery
- Standard Swivel Bracket and Locking Disc
- Blanking Plug
- 2 Plastic Anchors
- 2 #6 Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws
- Plastite #3 x ¼ in. screw
- #4 x 3/8 in. Pan Head Sheet Metal screw
- Instructions
- Ease of installation with keypad initiated walk test
- Industry First Security/Convenience Bright White LED with:
- Momentary motion activation during walk test mode
- Flashing during audible alarm activation
- Programmable "on" activation through M1 Rules
- Illuminate an area for camera assistance during event
- Temporary night path lighting
- Long battery life and 2 selectable sleep mode durations
The ELK-6040 Wireless Glass Break Sensor is designed for use with Elk's two-way wireless product line consisting of the ELK-M1XRFTW Transceiver and the ELK-M1 Control.
The 6040 listens for actual patterns of breaking glass across the full audio band using Pattern Recognition Technology. The factory set recognition patterns make it possible to detect the difference between breaking glass of framed perimeter windows in a building vs. a drinking glass breaking within a room.
Includes:
- Wireless Glass Break Sensor
- Replaceable 3V Lithium battery
- 2 Plastic Anchors
- 2 #6 Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws
- Instructions
- Pattern Recognition Technology
- Wireless two-way communication
- Operation Alarm LED - RED (viewable from front)
- RF Acknowledge LED - Bi-Color (viewable with cover off)

- Power: One CR123 3.0 VDC Lithium Bttery
- Typical Battery Life: 5 years
- Improved Robust RF Field Strength: The distance between the detector and receiver has been significantly increased without the need for a repeater
- Smoothing Algorithms: Mathematical calculations in the detector’s software that minimize nuisance alarms by smoothing out short term spikes from dust and smoke
- Smart Check: A signal is sent to the control panel when the detector requires cleaning. This allows a regular, non-emergency service call to clean the detector before it goes into alarm.
- Drift Compensation: Virtually eliminates nuisance alarms from long-term dust build-up by automatically adjusting the detector’s sensitivity
- Removable Detector Cover and Chamber Top: The technician is able to quickly and easily clean the detector chamber without disassembling the detector head
- Approved UL Listings for Residential and Commercial Applications: Both residential and commercial installation requirements are met
- Additional LED Status Indicators: Identifying between alarm or trouble conditions is a snap with green and red LED status indicators. A green LED denotes a normal condition while the red LED indicates abnormal conditions.
- Easy-to-install Mounting Base: The sturdy mounting base allows the detector to be more easily installed on uneven surfaces (i.e. stucco). The mounting base has larger mounting ports, which accommodate drywall anchors for easy surface mounting.
