Long Life Door/Window

The Alula DWS-LL is an encrypted, LongLife, wireless door or window sensor designed to be used with the Alula Connect+ Panel. The DWS-LL sensor detects opening and closings of doors and windows. It can secure just about anything that opens with its simple peel-and-stick mounting solution. The DWS-LL will alarm, when the Connect+ Panel is armed and the magnet is pulled away from the contact.

To enroll the DWS-LL, begin by placing the panel into wireless enrollment mode and then sending an enrollment signal from the LongLife sensor. Alternatively, the LongLife sensor can be enrolled by scanning its bar code using the Alula app or by entering its 8-character serial number on the interactive GeoArm web portal.

To install the DWS-LL, begin by removing the adhesive paper and adhering the LongLife contact and magnet on a door or window. Clean the surface of where you plan on mounting it. Leave a minimum of 3/16 inch clearance around the ends of the sensor to allow the cover to open. Make sure to align the alignment marks on the LongLife and magnet when mounting. Alternatively, LongLife can be used with an external contact instead of the reed switch.

The High Bond Tape (3M VHB Tape) works great if the surface is properly prepared and firm pressure is applied for over 10 seconds. The LongLife wireless performance is optimized when mounted near the top of the door in a vertical orientation.
